This past week I found some great releases by The Neighbourhood, Andy Mineo, Low, and AURORA. I've been a fan of The Neighbourhood for years, so I wasn't surprised when I liked "R.I.P. 2 My Youth," the downtempo, moody lead single off of the band's upcoming sophomore album, Wiped Out!. The album is due out in October annnd I'm definitely eager to hear more. I stumbled upon Andy Mineo's "Hear My Heart," a mellow, soulful track dedicated to his sister who was born blind. The track features a saxophone, and basically anyone that's down with sax is cool with me, sooo I approve wholeheartedly. I saw Low on tour a few years ago with Death Cab For Cutie and I became a fan. I'm really into their new track, "Lies," the third single off of their upcoming album Ones and Sixes, which has melancholic undertones and is enveloped in their familiar warm sound. Finally, I discovered AURORA, a nineteen year-old Norwegian singer-songwriter, who blew me away with her haunting, "Murder Song (5, 4, 3, 2, 1)." It's a must hear. Make sure you listen to all of the tracks below!
